Finger Tip Plate Grasp

An excellent exercise for developing finger grip strength, ideal for sports such as rock climbing and archery.

KEEP WEIGHT AWAY FROM YOUR FEET
CLOSE UP VIEW

Grasp a weighted plate around the ridge, keeping your thumb on the inside, with your finger tips on the outer side.

With the weights by your side in either a seated or standing position, focus on holding the plate for as long as possible, making sure that if you drop the weight, it will land on a soft cushioned surface.

Because your aim is to hold the weight to failure, this exercise is best performed in a seated position, which will mean your feet are out of the way, and the weight having less distance to drop, if performed standing, keep the weights away from your sides.
