Plate Wrist Curls

A good exercise for developing all round wrist and finger strength, which can be performed either seated or standing, working one or both arms together, with your forearms resting on or off a bench / step box.

ROTATIONS
smoothly rotate the wrists all directions

Grasp a suitable weighted plate, between your thumb and fingers, and aim to perform a multitude of movements, from complete rotations 360 degree in both direction, lifting and lowering the plate (palms up or down), hammer style hands (thumbs on top palms facing each other) inversions (bringing your finger tips towards each other).

For persons who seek to improve their finger grip strength, you may decide to place a small disk weight, between the fingers and aim to perform as many movements as possible with the weight; simply finger curls will help increase finger grip strength for sports such as rock climbing - sailing - wrestling.

Always take care that if you drop the plate weight, it will land on a soft surface, not on yourself.
