Thumb Over Curl

The thumb is what gives us our best grip, placing the thumb and fingers over the top of a bar will greatly reduce the amount of weight you can hold.

START
lower your wrists to the floor
FINISH
aim to keep your forearms in contact with your thighs
FRONT VIEW
make sure that the bar will not hit your feet if dropped

Best performed using a seated barbell wrist curl, with a lighter weight than normal.

Focus on keeping a tight grasp with your fingers, making sure that if you do drop the weight, they will land on a soft surface, away from your feet, or if using a barbell, the size of the end weights will prevent the bar from hitting your feet.

Make sure your hands and the bar are dry prior to commencing this exercise.
