Bent Leg Side Raises

A good exercise for developing the muscles of your side buttocks, (Gluteus minimus and medius).

START
aim to make the movement from your hip only
FINISH
aim to keep your leg bent at 90 degrees throughout

Rest your body weight on your hands and one knee or on all fours, keeping your back straight.

Keeping the leg bent at 90 degrees, smoothly take the leg both out to the side, and upwards whilst maintaining the same position.

Avoid excessive twisting from your lower spine throughout the exercise.
