Rest your middle on the main support of the machine, with the backs of your legs locked under the rear supports.

Place hands behind your head, and lower yourself down to a comfortable position, aiming to keep your back straight.
Using the muscles of your lower back lift yourself up ideally until your torso is parallel to the floor.
Whilst in the raised position you may decide to rotate either vertically by lifting one elbow and lowering the other, or horizontally by rotating to one side then the other, taking your elbows towards your hips.
Lower under control, then repeat for desired number of reps.
