Bosu Push Up

A number of different push up styles can be performed on a Bosu.

Placing the Bosu on its domed surface will make the exercise far harder, as your having to work at controlling your balance throughout the movement.

Bend at your elbows, lowering your chest down, keeping your head inline with your spine, looking slightly forward throughout the movement. Avoid dropping your head down towards the floor.

Aim to make a right angle with your arms, holding for a split second, then exhale as you return back to your starting position.

You can progress the standard push up exercise by having only one foot on the Bosu, which will require greater balance and core strength.

Throughout the exercise try and keep your core muscles engaged, as this will help prevent you either dropping your middle down, or extending your butt in the air, both of which you should avoid.

Look at other styles you may wish to perform, such as wide arm or diamond push ups.
