Decline Bench Curl

Lie face up on a declined bench, holding suitably weighted dumbbells in your hands, keeping your arms straight, with the weight in line with your shoulders.

START
commence the movement with the weigts overhead
FINISH
lower the weights behind your head - keep elbows tucked in

Focus on keeping your upper arm vertical, as you smoothly lower the weights down to the side of your head, taking care not to hit your head with the weight.

Exhale as you lift the weight back up to your starting position, prior to repeating for desired reps.

Always make sure that any locking collars are securely fastened, it is best to perform this exercise with fixed weights that are small in size.

If your bench has no decline, you may wish to raise one end with a secure step box.
