Dumbbell Exercises

Dumbbell weights provide an excellent method of training the specific muscle your aiming to isolate.

Because they are held in each hand individually, you will soon be able to see what muscles are weaker for any given side, and thus be able to train to develop all-round muscular strength. If performing a set amount of reps, you may feel you can do more with your stronger arm, likewise if working both arms together you may decide to work alternate arms to give each arm a little longer rest between reps.

Most modern weights are fixed, that is to say you're unable to adjust the weight, however if your using dumbbells with collars or any other locking device, always check to make sure the weights are secure.

For safety for both yourself and consideration for other gym users, always return the weights back to the racking system - according their allocated slot.
