Depth Jump Forward

This exercise is best performed by jumping into a soft sand pit.
Stand on a suitable raised platform 12 – 36 inches high, with your feet resting on the edge of the box, hands by your sides.
Upon landing prepare immediately for an forward take off, using your arms to help generate height and forward momentum, by throwing the arms upwards.
Aim for minimum contact with the ground, and maximum forward distance with each jump, remembering the actual jump begins upon the landing from the raised box.
Landing in a soft sand pit will reduce the impact upon landing, however always have sufficient rest between jumps.
