Air Walker

Air-walking machines combine the motion of walking, in a gliding motion, and provide a low-impact, cardiovascular workout that puts less stress on the lower joints.

You burn about the same number of calories as you do walking, however you will tend to find that you will sweat more, due to the fact that you're working indoors, without the benefit of fresh air and any breeze.

You can increase the intensity of your workout, however Air Walkers are best designed for persons who are either heavily obese, or suffer from lower leg pains, when performing more beneficial exercises, such as jogging or cycling.

As with all forms of exercise, you should gradually warm-up the muscles that you will be using, and then aim to have a stretch, both prior to your main workout, and at the end of your session.

Throughout the exercise, aim to keep the movement smooth and under control, keeping your feet central on the foot platforms.

Aim for larger controlled movements, rather than a small jerking action, using your arms to help control the speed, and also assist the legs during your workout.

The good thing about air walkers, is that they are very easy to maintain, noise pollution friendly, and will enable you to watch TV whilst have a safe workout.

Always wipe any sweat off the machine to help prolong the life of it, taking in fluid regularly to help your body function throughout your workout.
